As a Senior UX/UI Designer on our gameplay team, you will help and facilitate UI improvements in the HUD and partner with designers to maintain combat clarity and iterate towards shipping a best-in-class gameplay experience across mobile, PC, and consoles. In this role, you will design for features by generating wireframes, documentation, motion graphic prototypes, and get your hands dirty by working directly in Unreal.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in player-centered design, an effective understanding of game systems, and experience in one or more genres of MOBA, ARPG, or RPG game UX/UI design.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate goals and constraints into compelling player facing features. 
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and documentation that clearly convey ideas.
  • Present and pitching designs to developers and gameplay leadership. 
  • Work alongside engineers, artists, and UX researchers to develop features that improve action and RPG gameplay features and experiences. 
  • Work in Unreal with an attention to detail to see your designs through and iterate based on team and player feedback.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to create wireframes and prototypes.
  • Skilled in one or more of Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, Sketch, or other prototyping and mockup tools.
  • Familiar with Photoshop/Illustrator or other art tools.
  • Strong knowledge of UX design processes.
  • Understands the principles of game system design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to see features through to completion and rapidly modify design as information changes.
  • User-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, innovative, and have a bias for action. 
  • Experience designing interfaces for two or more platforms in a gaming context (PC, Console, Mobile, VR).
  • Play experience with multiple MOBA, RPG, ARPG titles with deep progression systems and cross-play gaming titles (like League of Legends, Genshin Impact, and World of Warcraft).
Desired Qualifications:
  • Successfully designed UX/UI features that were implemented into shipped AAA titles.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement UI widgets and features in a game engine.
  • Experience optimizing game UI and assets for game performance and accessibility.  
  • Experience as a product designer is a plus
